Resilient Communities Lab

Zoë Cina-Sklar (she/her) is studying city planning with the goal of implementing Green New Deal-style climate policies at the local level after graduation. Before MIT, she spent eight years campaigning for just and equitable climate action across all levels of government. This work included co-founding the Sunrise Bay Area chapter and serving on Sunrise Movement’s national Political and Partnerships team. In those roles, she built relationships with racial, economic, and climate justice organizations, represented Sunrise in various coalitions, and led trainings and mobilizations. She was also a fellow at the Progressive Change Campaign Committee and a campaigner at Amazon Watch. When she's not working for climate justice, you can find her running in the city, trying new recipes, petting strangers' dogs, and scheming about her next big backpacking trip. She currently lives in Somerville but is an Oregonian at heart.
